Rail Industry Supplies designs and manufacturers a range of Bogies specifically for Australian Railway Operators. Through its in-house design team, RIS is able to develop custom bogie designs to our customer’s unique specifications. All bogies meet applicable RISSB and A.A.R requirements.

Typically, RIS three-piece bogie designs utilises a Wide Wedge friction pocket, designed to minimise wear and keep the bogie square.

RIS can supply complete bogies, bogie spiders and individual components for both new builds and maintenance needs.

TYPE: RIS Three Piece Bogie

GAUGE: Standard, Narrow and Broad available.

AXLE LOAD: 25 tonne (alternatives available)

FRICTION WEDGE TYPE: RIS Wide Wedge (compatible with Super Service Ride Control ®)

LOAD SPRINGS: D5 Springs. Spring nest configuration dependent on gross mass of wagon.

WHEEL SETS: Premium Comsteel wheels fitted to axle to suit track gauge. Wheel diameter dependent on desired height of wagon.

BRAKE TYPE: Conventional 4:1 Brake Rigging or Bogie Mounted Brakes e.g. TMX
